My work is grounded in more than 20 years working in and alongside workforce and economic mobility systems—across education and training, employment, and the supports that make work possible.

Across complex public-interest systems, many organizations face a familiar tension. Activity is easy to generate. Compliance is required. But clarity about what success actually looks like—and whether things are truly getting better—can be much harder to maintain. Over time, systems get busy, but progress becomes harder to see on the ground.

Veikart means “roadmap”—a way to understand where you are, the terrain you’re navigating, and where you’re trying to go. That idea shapes how I work. I help organizations get clear about the destination, use data and evidence to understand current conditions, and design paths forward that reflect how public systems actually operate.

My work focuses on helping organizations re-center on outcomes that matter: improvements in people’s economic stability, opportunity, and well-being—and then align strategy, implementation, and measurement around those outcomes. I partner with leaders and teams to clarify goals, translate labor-market and administrative data into insight, and make thoughtful choices about what to strengthen, change, or stop.

Having spent over two decades running and supporting publicly funded programs, I understand that compliance, reporting, and fidelity to funding rules are not optional. They are part of the job. My value is helping organizations meet those requirements with integrity, while also pushing toward results that matter in people’s lives. The goal is not to work around constraints, but to work honestly within them, so effort leads to learning, and learning leads to better outcomes.
